Spring 2011 ETC Schedule

Edmond Track Club (K - 6th) is coming soon in April 2011.

Here's the schedule:
3/23 Wednesday 5pm--Parent Organizational Meeting
3/30 Wednesday 5pm Practice @ ENHS
4/2 Saturday 1pm Meet @ ENHS

4/6 Wednesday 5pm--Practice @ ENHS
4/9 Saturday 1pm Meet @ ENHS

4/13 Wednesday 5pm--Practice @ ENHS
4/16 Saturday 1pm Meet @ ENHS

4/20 Wednesday 5pm--Practice @ ENHS
4/23 Saturday 1pm Meet @ ENHS if not attending Hershey's Meet
5/1 Sunday 1pm Hershey's Meet @ ENHS (9 yrs. old and above)

Further details:

A competitive track and field club for grades K - 6th.
ETC is a member of USA Track & Field.

All practices will be held at Edmond North High School (ENHS) track from 5-6pm.

215 West Danforth in Edmond, OK--the track is located behind (to the north of) the school on the east side.

All meets will be held at ENHS track at 1pm.

$100 to join Edmond Track Club (ETC) which includes all practices, all meets, and a club t-shirt.
Non-club members are welcome to compete in the meets. Each athlete must bring a copy of birth certificate, register up to 4 events at a cost of $10 per meet.

The practice and meet schedules are tentative. It is tentative due to unpredictable weather conditions and changes to high school athletic schedules. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding.

Registration for all meets begins at 12:00pm on meet dates. Each athlete may enter up to 4 events of their choice per meet.

9/9/10 Cross Country Meet Update

Guthrie has cancelled the 4:30pm meet we originally were scheduled to run. WE WILL STILL RUN on Thursday 9/9/10 for our 2nd meet at our (Edmond's) normal time of 5pm. We hope to see you there. Help spread the word if you are friends with other parents in ETC.

Maybe you or your child are a little unsure about whether they will like running cross country.

On Monday 8/30/10 at 5pm, we will hold our first cross country practice--

TRY IT OUT FOR FREE!

If your child does not enjoy it after the first practice, there is no obligation to pay! (But we bet they will love it!!!!)

Parents are always welcome to run with their child on practice days.

It's hot outside, so be sure to bring plenty of water to drink.

Monday 8/23/10 6pm Organizational meeting @ Mitch Park located between Santa Fe and Kelly off of Covell (far west pavilion). Bring a copy of your child's birth certificate.

Thursday 9/2/10 5pm 1 mile race @ Mitch Park

Tuesday 9/7/10 5pm Practice @ Mitch Park

Thursday 9/9/10 4:30pm 1 mile race @ Cottonwood Flats in Guthrie

Monday 9/13/10 5pm Practice @ Mitch Park

Thursday 9/16/10 5pm 1 mile race @ Mitch Park

Monday 9/20/10 5pm Practice @ Mitch Park

Thursday 9/23/10 5pm 1 mile race @ Mitch Park

ETC is a member of USA Track & Field.

All practices will be held at Mitch Park in Edmond from 5-6pm.

1501 West Covell Street in Edmond, OK—we will meet at the far west pavilion (just north of the MAC Center and near the big playground).

3 races will be held at Mitch Park. 1 race will be held at Cottonwood Flats in Guthrie (west of downtown Guthrie).

We are running today!

4/17/10 Meet

It's 10:40am Saturday morning. We are planning on still holding the meet today but will make a final decision between 12 and 1pm. Watch the website for further updates.

4/7/10 practice cancelled

Due to the wind and cold temperatures, we are canceling today's practice. Even the high schoolers were having trouble on the track. The wet conditions also would prevent us from being able to do most of the field events.

We will see you next Wednesday for practice. (Remember there's no meet scheduled this week --4/10/10)
